The Holiday Season is a season to celebrate many very good things. Some people will probably not be able to get together due to economic restraints and other good reasons.
In my case, my two boys live out of town, and I will get to visit one in Gainesville, Fl. where he attends university. My oldest lives in Houston, Tx. and he is planning on visiting friends this year. Since my divorce in 2003, Christmas Season was always shared with the kids. My ex used to live just a couple of blocks away from me. Now that she has moved to California, the family has once again been split apart. None of the kids can afford tickets from Florida or Texas to California this part of the year to see their mother.
This is the reality of life. When families split, sacrifices have to be made. I don't recall a single Christmas in 30 years that I have not had the entire family with me for the Holidays. It saddens me to accept that this year will not be the same.
I know that there are many families in the U.S. who are going through very difficult times from the recession, job unemployment, and illnesses, but what has carried me through all of my life is prayers of gratitude.
For some good reason, when nothing is going right, I pray more every day. Not out of desperation, but instead to thank God for having given me my life, my challenges, and my share of disappointments. I today enjoy excellent health, my daughter keeps me company while she goes to university and works part-time. My youngest is in university but out of town, and my oldest is doing fine in his career.
Perhaps this Season of Joy, if you and I should pray in gratitude for whatever blessings we have today, and ask for a better year to come, God in his mercy and kindness will grant our wishes.
I hope that this Holiday Season brings plenty of happiness and blessings to you and your family.
I will say a special prayer to those that have followed this Blog, not knowing your situation, but understanding that perhaps a blessing of joy through prayer is what you need today to make your life just a little bit happier.
God bless you, and I wish you and your loved ones, a Very Happy Holiday Season.

The power of prayer when you need urgent help
I just returned from Haiti where I visited with a friend of mine. He owns a cargo ship, and he wanted me to drive for him around the countryside. His very large cargo ship is sitting on the bay in the city of Miragoane loaded with autos awaiting payment of freight from his customers.
We stayed in a hotel in Port Au Prince, a very busy city with loads of traffic, and with no street lights nor signs to follow. I speak French to the best of my ability, which is limited, but doable. I enjoyed asking for directions from everyone, including policemen. Haitians are very friendly and quite hospitable. I liked that part very much!
After seven days in Haiti, we started our journey back to the airport. My friend wanted to visit the office of a tugboat owner, who happens to have his office right on the fringe of downtown, and across from the old U.S. Embassy building. I got totally lost trying to get there, and found myself and my friend stuck in the marketplace. Just imagine thousands of people with their wares and foodstuffs laid out on the streets while you are trying to get out safely.
The marketplace is every single inch of downtown Port Au Prince, right to the middle of the streets. People place their entire sales possessions on the sidewalks and parts of the street. In other areas, you simply can't drive at all through the streets.
I got in by accident into the most congested area of the marketplace, and I was totally unable to move. This occurred at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Dec. 9th. I had no chance of continuing with my rental car, so I simply said a silent prayer for help straight to God. Within an instant, an employee who was directing a truck which I had followed right into the mess looked at me and pointed toward my exit route.
I called to him and asked him in broken French to help me to get out with my car. He smiled and told me to follow him. He then appeared to be "parting the waters" by walking in front of my car, and I just went forward careful not to hit a person or their stands which were laid out on the pavement. From a congestion of thousands of people on a busy market day, this gentleman led us right on to the main avenue.
It took me less than a few seconds to pray for help. It took 20 minutes to get us out of the mess that we were in. We got to the airport in time to catch our flight, and get back to Florida.
Does prayer truly work? I have no doubt that it does; otherwise, I could have never gotten out of the jam that I was in, and make it to the airport in time. Neither could I have figured out the direction to take toward the main avenue without some form of guidance. I was totally lost in the middle of the mass of people. Within seconds of my praying for help, a human being appeared to guide me, and successfully get us out.
Learn to pray for all of your needs, and wait for miracles to happen in your life. You will never regret it!
God bless,

Ask God for all of your needs; invoke His name in an emergency; and make all your petitions with a grateful heart
Life presents many bad situations which we at times have absolutely no chance or possibility of pulling out of them. So, what is our alternative? We need to ask God to help us right there and then. Better yet, I believe that it is good practice to thank Him every day for all of His blessings and protection while things are good, and have Him with us when things do go bad.
I feel that keeping God in our minds on a daily basis is sufficient at times to provide us protection. One example where I was a "goner" happened in the Dominican Republic in November 2008. I was going at 70 miles an hour when a car pulled into my lane, heading toward me. The other party was trying to pass a slower vehicle. I had no choice but to react by pulling to the right and avoid a major and fatal collision. I hit the soft shoulder in the middle of a rain fall. The front right and rear wheel landed in three potholes, one after the other. By the third hole, my small rental car was airborne.
When the car came down and hit the ground with a thunderous noise, I would have been thrown inside the car, had I not had my seat belt on. The belt held me firm and tight on my seat. The car did an amazing thing. When it landed, the tires gripped the road firmly and safely; and I was able to take control of the vehicle without spinning out of control. I then reduced my speed, and almost fainted from the shock of knowing that I almost got killed.
Where is God in all of this? He is there all the time, and I think because we place Him in our minds all day long that we can reach for Him in an emergency without hesitation.
Do you take time during the day to pray to Him? Do you think of Him at all, or is it a once-a-year affair at your church, temple or mosque? For many Christians, going to Mass is a chore; praying to God is a burden; and thinking of Him on a daily basis is simply not practical. And yet, when they are in deep trouble and they need Him in the worst way, they scramble to look for Him, or forget about Him altogether.
Our relationship with God should be a normal flowing and lasting one. Start by making friends with Him (if you're not there yet) then let God lead the way. That should make your journey easier; and when you need Him to be with you and to hold you, He will be there; or perhaps you want Him to intervene in your behalf, He will not hesitate to send his angels to your rescue.
Do you ever thank Him for all that He does for you to protect you, to provide for you, and to watch over you and your loved ones? Today is Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S., so perhaps it is a good day to come to terms with God. If not today, how about tomorrow or next day? He has never failed me, and He will not fail you!
If you would like to read my articles on Prayer and Holy Water, they may just give you a new perspective on the power of these two elements which were created for our use. Just reach over to Ezine Articles on this page and click on my articles. Perhaps you have a loved one in need of help, prayer and holy water, so please let them know about it via my articles.

Holy Water for bringing relief to unbearable pain, and to heal
I have used holy water at every instance that I have found a use for it. I will now recommend that you use it to bring relief to all types of pain in your body derived from any form of illness or injury. If the pain is severe and unbearable, place holy water with your fingers moist over the painful area. Do this as many times per day as you wish. I recommend that you do this procedure at least three times a day. Results have always been experienced by me in a few days, and as many as two to three weeks.
If you are under medication for severe pain, you should continue taking it, but now add holy water to bring relief to your pain. Whenever I suffered constant and severe pain from my mountain biking and weight lifting accidents, I would take Ibuprofen, but then I would start immediately to apply holy water to the painful area. I found that the pain diminished slowly but surely within a few days after I applied holy water. Then I would stop taking any form of medication, and I would continue applying holy water to the painful area.
This has been my observation, therefore I want to share it with you. Holy water does work to relieve pain of any degree of severity. If it works for me, it will certainly work for you. Do you have to have a strong faith to get any results.? Let me tell, I had no faith at the beginning of my trials with holy water, and the water did its magic!
Various articles that I have written have attested to the fact that I have found holy water to be very effective in curing pain and healing the injured areas. I have used the water on shoulder, hips, arms, finger, my left knee, and my eye lids. I even use it sometimes to relieve my headaches. I don't drink it, but I rub it with my fingers over the painful area, normally my temples.
Just recently, I used holy water on my left eyelids to cure the eye which had been poked by a tree branch in a biking accident. I placed the water on the outside, and not on the eye socket itself because I found that the water was irritating my eye. It took me three days to get relief, and the eye was cured from the injury. Now when my eyes are tired from typing long hours on the computer, I just dab holy water on my eyelids, and relief seems to come almost immediately.
Should you have someone in your family or friends ailing from a serious injury or a terminal disease, place holy water on the area where it hurts the most. All that you have to say is, "Thank you God for bringing relief to my loved one." I recommend that you do this simple ritual twice a day for as long as it takes for relief to come.
Will holy water cure a disease or a severe illness? I don't have any experience in that. I have used holy water on my sister who is going on 82 years of age, and she suffers from Parkinson disease. For almost two years she was totally under medication, and no one could reach her. When the holy water was sprinkled over her head for several weeks, it worked in getting her home from the hospital. This was a year ago, and I speak with her over the phone every day.
In my experience with the use of holy water, relief came immediately or a few days later. If it was a matter of healing, it took me two to three weeks to see permanent results. The pain would be long gone beforehand, and the healing of the injury was the final result.
I would like for you to try holy water as I have recommended it. I will even get you a small vial of the water that I use from my church and mail it to you as a courtesy on my part. All that I am asking is that you tell me the results. I want nothing from you other than an address to send the water to you. It will be legitimate holy water, and I just want you to try it. Even if it is a last resort effort on your part to bring comfort to you, or a loved one, please do it for me.
When you have nothing to lose, and I am willing to send the holy water as a courtesy, please have faith in it. All that I am requesting from you is an address, even if it is a postal office address, where I can send the holy water to you. You may also go to a Catholic church near your part of the world where they have it available. Just take a small vial and fill it up. Please don't let religion get in the way, if you must try a new route to bring relief to your life.
Please contact me with your request on my email address below. God bless, and my prayers are with you. And do go to my articles on holy water and prayers that I have posted on Ezine Articles right on this page.

How to protect yourself, your loved ones and friends through Prayer and Holy Water
Learning to pray every day for just a few minutes, is something that is difficult for many people. And yet, if you practice praying on a regular basis, you will find that it gets easier every time.
Some people find it a weakness of character to pray, when in fact, it is just the opposite: it is a sign of strength and self-confidence. God does not create weak people, but rather people of strength. Choose to be strong of heart and mind, but be gentle to yourself and those around you.
The most important thing in praying is to pick the prayers that you wish to recite, and preferably daily, and just repeat them once or as many times as you need to. Your religion of birth or choice has the prayers to be used.
As I mentioned in prior pages, to me the Lord's Prayer and the Hail Mary are sufficient for me to take care of my needs. Remember that the most powerful prayers are those that benefit others, particularly our loved ones. When you need to pray for yourself, go for it!
Reading the daily news on my laptop, I find good and I find bad news constantly. The bad is all around when evil people do their harm to society. Why must we pray for our loved ones? Because we can't be close to them during the day and night to protect them ourselves. All three of my children are adults now, and pretty much on their own, and I still pray for them every day of the week, all year-long.
We pray for others, so that no harm comes to them. I place holy water on my kid's digital photos on my laptop throughout the entire week. Why? because holy water is intended to protect, to bless, and to keep the bad elements away from them. I discovered the 'healing power' of holy water a few years back when I used it on my biking injuries. I had no affordable health insurance; so I resorted to holy water out of desperation and unbearable pain on four bad accidents that I had. It worked for me to heal and to diminish the pain totally—and all within a period of one to three weeks max of application of holy water.
13 people, mostly soldiers, died just recently from a random killing in a U.S. Army Fort. We have no control of other people's actions. The most unlikely person in the world to have committed such heinous crime, did the unthinkable—take away the lives of innocent young people. We pray so that God takes over, and protects our lives because we are exposed to everyday events—at times totally out of our control. We place water on the foreheads of our loved ones if they live with us. If they live away from home, you may want to place the cross with your finger moist with holy water on their faces on the digital photos.
Don't be ashamed to believe and to pray to God and to Jesus, his only Son. Use holy water whenever possible, and believe that you have done the best possible to protect your loved ones, and yourself, of course. Should you have a drug issue with one of your sons or daughters, place holy water on their forehead, and simply say, "God bless you and protect you." If they don't allow you because they think it is silly, place the holy water on their photos. Holy water is used to ward-off evil; and illegal drugs and their pushers, are as evil as evil can get. I have lost five nephews to drugs, and three are resting in peace in the cemetery; so I know what I am talking about.
Please read my latest article on Ezine Articles titled "Prayer and Holy Water—the Reason and the Force Behind Them." It will give you a new perspective that can possibly make a difference in your life.

Learn to Value Your Life
A while back I wrote an article on Ezine Articles that I titled "One Life to Live..." I mentioned that many people don't value their lives, thus they go through life thinking less of themselves; or better yet, they live off other's opinion of them, which may not be complimentary.
Regardless of what your current situation might be, your life is worth everything to you, and to those that love you. You might be presently out of a job; perhaps you just broke up with someone; or you recently lost a loved one, and the pain is unbearable. The thought of giving up your life will not resolve anything for you; and in fact, you will bring more pain and sorrow to your family, than whatever benefit you can possible derive from such act.
Here's where prayer comes to work for you. Praying places you in a state of mind so that you can work your way out of anything that you are facing right now. Everything has a solution (within our control), and we have all faced bad situations in our lives; but praying has always, and I say, has always brought me out of the worst of bad situations. The reason is that God is being beckoned through prayer to hear your 'legitimate urgency,' and being His children He cannot refuse.
Make prayer a daily routine as a means to thank God for His goodness; and to take care of your needs and that of your loved ones. No prayer is too small, nor too big for Him to hear and to respond to. However, what I have found over the years that works for me is to stay in touch with God on a regular basis, rather than on emergencies only. This way you will feel more comfortable when asking Him to help you out. Praying daily will become second-nature to you in time; and you will come to appreciate the love of God for your life.
Please go to Ezine Articles on this page and check-out my new article titled "Prayer and Holy Water—The Reason and the Force Behind Them." Maybe you will experience a new perspective on the merits of both elements, which are available to us to be used at our liberty.

Organized Religion—Is it Good For You?
The majority of the world's population is born to a religion; and how we all grow in it is pretty much left to our parents, or guardians. My parents were Catholic, so the eight of us followed their path. Once we became adults, five of us continued attending church, and three are totally against it. And the sad thing is that two of my brothers saw combat in Korea, and my youngest brother was in Vietnam.
Why do people stay away from their religion of birth is a mystery to me. Even when they get married, their spouses follow suit. Sometimes a spouse, girlfriend, or boyfriend will talk the other person out of attending organized church services. And life continues its merry way, and when serious problems creep up all of a sudden, they have a difficult time coping. So they scramble over to their friends for advice; when they should be going to their church's ministry for counseling.
You might have had a bad experience in the past with a 'person of the cloth,' or you didn't like a particular sermon, and you wrote religion off for the rest of your life. Guess what? People switch out from one church to another looking for satisfaction. That's fine, and I suppose it is better than not having any religion at all! However, eventually it is best to settle down for a particular church, temple, synagogue, or mosque, and make religion a part of your life—unless you are an atheist, like a friend of mine is, and he has absolutely no religion at all.
Organized religion, with all its inherent flaws is still better for people than being totally out of the loop. One hour a week for God is fair, don't you think? He give us 24-hour a day service and attention; is it such a bad idea to return one hour of our time per week?
I see more good in people that attend religious services of their preference once or twice a week, than seeing them every weekend watching football, baseball, and other sports the entire weekend—while drinking vast amounts of beer and snacking gigantic portions of high-fat foods. Make a compromise and do both! If you have children, you will set a good example if you place God first in your weekend activities.
It's a choice that we make, and some form of healthy religion is good for the soul. Spending time with God helps to stay focused on life's priorities . Attending organized religious services may do you a world of good. It has for billions of people since the beginning of organized religion.

Life is like a movie—God is the Producer, and we are the Director and the main Actor
Life is like a movie, and it is as good as we decide to make it so. How long will the movie last? We just don't know. It can be a lengthy one or unfortunately a short one.
Irregardless of its length, so far, is it a good life? I am writing today, so that the question stands current. We should be able at this moment to ask ourselves, "Have I lived a good life so far?"
I was made aware of the death of a child of 19 months from drowning. Her very short life was not lived in vain. Many of her organs were donated to other recipients who needed a transplant in order to continue to live. Her "movie" was very short, but her memory lives on.
Friends, a brother and a manager that I worked for in my lifetime are gone, due to disease—and all died before they reached 60. Can we control disease, such as cancer? There is treatment available, but when it is diagnosed late in its stage, there isn't much anyone can do about it. My brother lasted two years in therapy, only to see his body thorn to pieces from nine operations.
I recall offering to pray for him, but he was adamant that nothing would help him. He didn't believe in God, and wanted nothing to do with Him; nor did he allow the rest of the family to pray for him either. I remember asking him if I could, and he almost threw me out of his house.
My oldest sister is bed-prone due to Parkinson disease. She allows me to pray for her, and she puts holy water on her forehead everyday. She is now 81 years-old, and continues to want to live, in spite of her condition. Her "movie" I would rate as excellent since she has survived her disease, the pain of a son who committed suicide, and another son who spent over 30 years in jail for drug abuse, and is nowhere to be found today.
We are all an ongoing "movie" being played out. Are we going to make it a "grand movie" or just a mediocre one? Where does God come in to our lives? He comes in when we invite Him. Praying is the vehicle that He provided for us to use at our disposal to get close to Him. He is the Producer of our movie, but we are the Director and the main Actor.
If you want to make the best movie ever of your life, pray to God to help you, just as I have for all my years in this beautiful planet. Do I deserve to have lived this long, probably not? But I thank Him everyday for allowing me to maintain my health, and to write my articles on Prayer and Holy Water; and the many other subjects that I hope will help people to continue to appreciate life. Praying and Waiting for Answers
We all wish that when we pray for something, someone above would answer our call and give us an answer right away. Unfortunately, it is not that simple, and waiting is a must. I know for a fact that I have had hundreds of request made through prayer, and few have ever been answered.
However, let me clarify, that the most important prayers in my life have been answered. The reason for that is, when I have prayed with heart and soul, the channel of communication has always been open for me. Perhaps it was because I had a truly and legitimate request. Other petitions have either become non-necessary, or forgotten on my part or in heaven.
Many times, we have nothing to ask because all is going well. Then our prayers are no more than those prescribed by each person's religion. I mentioned in other postings that I say the Our Father and The Hail Mary every day five times each. I am not asking, I am simply communing with God.
From my experiences in life, and from many years of praying and waiting, I have found that when prayers are answered, it is like a faucet that is opened in heaven, but very slowly. The water will drip one painful drop at a time until the glass is full. It may take weeks, months for the glass to fill up, and that is when your prayer has been answered—when the glass is full.
Here's the rub! Is your request still required or needed, or have you forgotten what you originally prayed for? Most people pray for things, and when nothing happens immediately, they give up. The next thing that comes to their minds is: prayer does not work for me. And yet, the glass is filled to the rim with water, but the person goes thirsty waiting for answers.
Let me explain. All prayers are answered with a Yes or a No! The only one that holds the 'faucet handle' is God. He determines the speed that the water pours, simply by moving the handle, and we just have to accept His will. Here is where faith goes a long, long way in your life.
Please read my articles posted on Ezine Articles on prayer and holy water. If you go to the top and hit [Read More] you will find a list of all of my articles. Please be so kind to refer this blog to friends and family, and it will be highly appreciated. Praying for a New Job, a Broken Relationship, Financial Help
Praying is truly asking God for help in a matter of urgency in many cases. If you just lost your job, for example, your next step is not to sit around and mop. You need to get going as fast as you can and post your Resume with head hunters, employment agencies, and if need be, you go knocking on doors. Unemployment benefits has saved many, but it will not cover your current life-style unless you adjust quickly.
Sometimes life seems impossible to cope with, especially when you don't have a job, and no other source of income, but you are not alone. You need to reduce your monthly expenditures one way or the other. You cannot possibly continue for long if your monthly costs remain the same. Sacrifices must be made, and they start right at home.
Finding a new job equal to or better than what you had before is your goal; however, in the interim you need to get any job, period! Restaurants are always hiring, and you may have to settle for the kitchen and clean-up duties for a while. A friend of mine went to work for Starbucks as a temporary solution, and eventually a job in his field came up.
What I do find is that people don't pray with any sense of faith for the things that they need. Instead, they curse their current situation rather than blessing it. "Ask and you will receive" is as true today as when it was first heard of from Jesus.
You just broke up with your girlfriend, or boyfriend, and you feel the pain. Don't pine your day away! Relax, and let time heal the wound. Best way to handle the pain is to pray for that person, and wish them well. As you do, peace takes over your thoughts, and the hurt and perhaps your anger will not be so severe. Try it, because it truly works!
When your finances are so tight that you can cry, and you have costly habits, e.g., drinking and smoking, and in some cases, gambling, have the courage to cut them out. A friend of mine that I help on occasion with his cargo ship business, does all of the above. He has lost tremendous sums of money on his investments, but his habits must go on. He borrows and borrows to pay his monthly family and business expenses, and yet I have seen him at Casinos drop hundreds and hundreds of dollars on the table playing Black Jack—and losing most of the time.
You want to pray to God for solutions to your current state of affairs; however, you are not willing to make the necessary sacrifices? It simply will not work for you. Humble yourself to the facts of your present situation; make the necessary adjustments to your life-style, and then ask all that you want and need. I believe that you will then see miracles happen in your life.
I know that to be true for I have seen many miracles occur in my life, and all because I believed when I asked. Which confirms the validity of the words, "According to your faith, be it unto you."
I would like to recommend that you visit the Ezine Articles page posted on this blog, and look at my latest article on "How to Keep your Job..." There are other articles that may also help you on prayer and holy water, especially if you need solace.

Recommended use of Holy Water for the eyes
About three weeks ago, and during the middle of the week, I was mountain biking at a park near my place here in South Florida. This park is named Quiet Waters for all the lakes that it has. It also has some excellent dirt, sand and rock trails to ride on. It was a beautiful morning to be outdoors, and I took full advantage.
I got there early with my truck and the bike hanging on the bike rack. I was ready for action! What I did not expect was that within thirty minutes into my ride, I would be upside down in the bushes, tangled up and with my bike still attached to my shoes. If that wasn't enough, I was getting soaked and sinking right into the lake.
The water felt good, since it is so hot in Florida. What is not too appealing is having something lurking in the water or the bushes take a bite at you. There are moccasin snakes in those lakes, and people are warned not to go swimming in any of the adjoining lakes.
I was speeding down a winding path when I came up to a rocky step-up. You have two choices, you either lift the front end of the bike and pedal as soon as the rear touches rock. Or you stop and walk the bike up the path. I made the right maneuver, except that I came down on the edge of the path facing the lake, and the front tire slipped on the soft and sandy soil and I went left instead of slightly to the right.
I always wear a helmet and gloves, plus my sunglasses. I got poked by a branch, and I recall feeling the sting right near my left eye. I didn't pay much attention to it until a few days later when I felt a burning sensation. I checked my eye and saw redness on the corner. For the next seven days, I put eye drops for relief and allergy.
By the end of the week, I started getting severe headaches, and by now both eyes were red as tomatoes. I figured that an eye doctor would cost me $250 U.S. to see and check my eyes for problems, plus prescription medicine another $70 U.S. Without any form of health insurance, I don't have much recourse, other than to try the 'holy water treatment' that I speak so much about in my articles.
I was beginning to worry sick over my eye situation. The holy water didn't work on the surface of the eyes because it was in fact irritating them. But it worked miraculously to cure my eyes when I put the water on the eye lids, both top and bottom of each eye. I would dab my index finger with holy water and just pass it over the eyelids while I closed them—three to four times a day.
My headaches went away almost immediately, and the eyes felt enormous relief within hours. I haven't had to put any medicine in my eyes, since the holy water took care of my eyes and that was over a week ago.

How to pray for best results
Praying, I have found from experience, is a desire that comes from the heart. I have explained in other posts on this blog, that having a grateful attitude is of tremendous help in delivering your petitions to God.
In other words, you are asking the highest authority in the universe to help you with something very special, or it could be a simple request. I have also noticed that the more regularly I pray, the easier it is for me to connect with God. I don't feel that this avenue is made only for 'special authorities' on earth with any particular training. We are all considered children of God, and for that very reason, we have the right to go straight to Him with our requests.
The same as a son or a daughter feels when going to their parents for help or advice, we should also exercise the same liberty when going to God. Sometimes it is to speak to Him over something that you have in mind. Other times, you may just want to say, "Thanks dear God for today."
When a situation is serious in your life, such as a terminal illness without recourse for you or a member of your family, where does prayer come in? For God nothing is impossible. He said it, and we should listen. The question is, does He save everyone that asks Him to save their lives, or that of a loved one from a deadly illness? Unfortunately, the answer is No!
A young brother of mine died in an accident at the age of 14, and an older brother of cancer at the age of 61. I will be 65 years old soon, and my life has been spared enough times to write a book. Why was I given a longer life? I just don't know, but I am sincerely grateful for that. Do I pray for others daily, yes of course, including my own family and friends.
What should be our objective in praying directly to God, or to Jesus or his mother the Virgin Mary, or other saints? We are human, we are vulnerable to the elements, and we need to; therefore, our objective should be to reach them for divine intervention, help and assistance. A prayer of gratitude, a prayer for protection, a life or death situation, all and any of these examples require that you and I reach the almighty for help.
It will be His will not ours that will determine the outcome. Just don't hesitate to go to God for help anytime of the day.
If you should need someone to pray for you, I am Catholic and on Thursday mornings I take my petitions to the Virgin Mary at my church in Coral Springs, Florida. If you know of someone who is very ill and they need a grateful and retired executive to pray for them, please give me their first name only and the nature of their illness. You have access to my email. Please feel free to send your request. I want nothing from you but the opportunity to pray for you or your loved one. I do pray for anyone that comes to me, regardless of their religion or beliefs.
You may want to read the articles which I have published in Ezine Articles on this blog, regarding prayer and holy water. Please share my email and blog with whomever you feel needs an assist.

Love, Blessing, Protection and Holy Water for your Pets
Just recently, the test of divine power was present in the lives of two animals. One happens to be a calico cat named Isabel and the other is a muscovy duck named Beatrice. Both animals came to be 'adopted' by my daughter and me. The cat was abandoned a few years ago by a previous owner, and she just wondered around the apartment complex.
Eventually, people came to liking her and began to feed her. She is now under the care of my daughter, and gets fed right outside our door every day. I, on the other hand, adopted a muscovy duck almost 7 years ago. These ducks are common in Florida, and she has come to my back patio almost every day, except when she used to go away for a month or so. For a few years, she bred her own brood, but now she is getting on in years and probably unable to do so.
Both of these animals came close to getting decimated the other day by two large dogs that were running lose in the complex. Beatrice the duck was absent the day that the dog killed a young female duck. I heard a commotion outside my apartment, only to see one of the dogs with a large duck in his mouth being mauled. I scared the dogs away, and went looking for Beatrice. She was nowhere to be found. A day later she reappeared in my back yard.
When I went chasing the two dogs, I found them in the parking lot with their owner. I advised him to leach the dogs in the complex, and he agreed. Then one of his dogs ran after Isabel the cat, who happened to be sitting by the bushes. When I saw the dog that killed the duck go after Isabel the cat, I jumped in front of the dog, and yelled at him to stop.
The dog must have gotten scared, and stopped right on his tracks. That saved that cat!
I call it good timing that Beatrice the duck was absent from the melee, otherwise she couldn't have taken flight so fast. And Isabel was one lucky cat that I was there to watch-out for her.
Here's my point: both animals are not owned by anyone, and each lives on their own, except for the food and the sweet words that they receive from my daughter and me. And yet, both animals are included in our prayers, and they have both received blessings with holy water.
Does God afford protection for the animals that are helpless and abandoned? I believe that He does, and that is why we pray for the people that we love, and those animals that have been friends and faithful to us. Placing holy water on our two 'adopted' pets was as natural as doing it for my family. You are giving them protection for the times that you cannot be there to help them.
Leave it to God to do that for you!

An Accident on Highway I95—Application of Prayer and Holy Water
I was called one evening last July by my son who is 20 years old. He said that his Jeep Cherokee had just had a tire blow-out, and the vehicle had careened across highway I95 while he was going South from Glades Blvd. in Boca Raton, Florida. I asked him if he was alright, and he said yes!
I told him that I would go and pick him up. I recall the time was 11 pm, and he had just gotten off from work. When I arrived at the scene of the accident, I saw his Jeep facing in the opposite direction (North) by the low concrete wall that separates the highway.
Near his Jeep was a Mustang parked that had collided with my son's vehicle. A few minutes later, I asked why was there a car upside down across the highway on the grassy bank. The owner of the Mustang said that the other driver had dodged hitting my son's Jeep, and he lost total control of his car. It was a rainy night, and the driver swerved and skated across the highway; eventually sliding downward on the wet and grassy side, causing the car to roll over on to its top.
This was a three-car accident, and only one person got seriously hurt. An ambulance had to take the driver from the car that sat upside down to the hospital. My son was shaken-up, but with no injuries at all. The lady in the Mustang told me the same for her. All three vehicles had to be towed away.
Where does prayer and holy water come in on this story? The Jeep Cherokee was blessed with holy water years back. My son is blessed every day with holy water when I see his picture on my laptop. I do the same for my other two kids. I say prayers for my children, and other family members every day without fail.
Anything could have happened that evening. The car that avoided him completely might have crashed right onto his Jeep, and very likely causing major fatalities. The lady in the Mustang saw what had happened, and she was able to slow down her car. She still hit my son's Jeep, but with less force. When my son remained in his Jeep in the middle of the highway facing the wrong direction, other vehicles speeding at 70-plus miles an hour could have crashed onto him, but nothing else occurred. The fire rescue people arrived on time, and they moved the damaged cars to the side of the highway.
We need to pray for our family members every day. We can't depend on others to do it for us, unless we are not capable of praying ourselves. There are many situations, conditions, and elements in our daily lives that we all need to avoid for our safety, and our lives if need be. For that protection, we have to ask for divine intervention. That can only come from praying and asking God.
How should holy water be applied? I mentioned in my previous posts to place the holy water on your laptop photos, or on hard photo prints with plastic on them. All that you need to say as you make the sign of the cross on the photo with your finger wet with the water is: "Dear Lord, please protect and keep safe (name person here), and I thank You very much." Just follow this procedure once a day. That will take you no more than a minute of your time. I suggest that you do it for your loved ones that commute to school or work, or both, or that might be living in other locations.
This simple ritual of prayer combined with holy water contains an enormous amount of power behind it. You are asking, not begging, the highest authority in the Universe to protect you and your loved ones. You have everything to gain by praying to God, so that you and your family members may live safely and peacefully.
If you would like to read more on prayer and holy water, please go to Ezine Articles on this page and browse through it. You will find three articles titled: "The Incredible Power of Prayer..."/ "The Healing Power of Holy Water"/ "The Healing Power of Holy Water Part II." Please click on any of them. I believe that you will find them quite interesting, and enlightening, I hope.
Be so kind to share this blog with family and friends. You don't know who needs to take a "new avenue" in their lives to find a solution to a personal situation, an illness, or a very important decision to make.

Holy Water— A Healing, A Miracle, A Blessing
If you would go to Ezine Articles on this page and click the article "The Healing Power of Holy Water Part II." you will find the latest on the amazing power of holy water. In the article are three different events totally unrelated, and yet the common factor is holy water.
I have shown the viewers of this blog, that holy water has the power to heal. In Part II, I discuss the details of three events. One is a healing, the second is an event of incredible dimensions, and the third is a blessing of a ship. Nothing unusual about the ship, but if you can imagine that the two owners are avowed atheists, and the only way to convince them is with scientific proof, then holy water is not for them.
Nevertheless, one of the owners asked me to bless his very large cargo ship, and I did. Read "The Healing Power... Part II" to see the results for yourself.
As you get more familiar with the uses of holy water for you and your family and friends, give holy water a chance to do its thing. Should you have someone ailing in your family, and you have tried everything, including taking all medical avenues, please resort to holy water for a test of faith. Should you lack faith, like I did at one time, then go on belief, and faith will follow! That I know, for I am the author of the articles and the beneficiary of the healing power of holy water. I had no faith in its power at the beginning of my trials with it, but in time I gained total belief, and faith became my strength.
Get a small container of holy water from your local church, and begin the process of helping yourself, your loved ones and friends that need healing and blessings to receive the amazing power of this water as soon as possible. Don't hesitate to believe in it, anymore than to feel embarrassed by the ritual of sprinkling the water over someone else, including yourself.
If you would be so kind to keep me posted on all progress regarding the use of holy water, please reach me on my email address with your information. It will be highly appreciated.

Prayer Stand—Suggested words of introduction for your daily prayers
The most important thing to remember before you present your petitions to God, is to be clear in the 'direction' that you wish for your prayers to take. In other words, you are asking God to listen to your request for a good reason. I will suggest some ways of making your introductions that have helped me for many years. Afterwards, you may say your prayers in accordance with your religion.
Other times, you simply want to thank God and nothing else is required. I have made some suggestions on words of gratitude that you can certainly use.
We all go through moments of anxiety; distress; dangerous conditions; loneliness; sickness; and, many other very delicate situations. God is not far away to listen to you and me; and by allowing us to ask Him to help us, that avenue became one of His greatest gifts. Jesus Christ reminded us of that gift while he lived on Earth. All you have to do is to ask God with a sincere and humble heart to help you at your moment of need. He can't refuse you! Just a word of advise though, selfish, frivolous and silly requests will probably go unanswered. For your benefit, please LET YOUR PRAYERS BE STRONG!
Suggested ways to ask for help and other requests
"I need your help with my health dear Lord, please listen to me."
"Dear God, I am desperate and need financial help to pay my bills, please listen to my prayers."
"Dear God, I need help in my marriage to make it better, please help us."
"Dear Lord, (my son, my daughter) are in trouble and they need your help."
"Dear God, I am totally lost, and I just don't know what to do anymore, or where to go. I need your help!"
"Dear Lord, I am in deep trouble (state your situation here by clarifying), and I need your urgent help."
"Forgive me Lord if I don't believe in you, and I haven't for most of my life, but I need you right now to come to my rescue. Help me to believe in you."
"My (son, daughter, dad, mom, aunt, uncle, friend) is very ill dear Lord, and I am asking for your help. You can do it! Please listen to my request to heal them."
"Give me strength dear Lord so that I don't stray away from you, and let me receive your protection against all evil."
Suggested words of gratitude
"Dear God, thank you so much for this day and for my family."
"Thank you dear Lord for answering my prayers."
"Thank you dear God for my health, and that of my loved ones."
"Dear God, I am grateful for all that you do for me, and please forgive me if I don't thank you enough."
"Dear Lord, I have made my request to you from my heart, and it is your will not mine that will determine the outcome of my petition. I just want to thank you in advance."
"I am grateful dear Lord for my life, my loved ones, my friends, my colleagues at work, and for my job."
"Dear God, if you should help me to get the job that I want, I will be forever grateful."
"I thank you in advance dear God for protecting my loved ones every single day."
"Dear Lord, (name your loved one or a friend) is going on a trip. I am asking you to please give them a safe trip, and protect them while they are away ."
I will be more than honored if you allow me to pray for you and family members. Holy Water—To Bless Someone Far Away
Awhile back I wanted to find a way to bless my family members and friends with holy water, especially if they lived far away.
There were several ways to accomplish this: 1) send them a small bottle of holy water, and have them apply it by wetting their fingers with it and perform the sign of the cross on their face and shoulders. I figured that they would follow this simple ritual of blessing at least once a day. However, I found out that people forget to follow-up on it on a regular basis.
I thought about it, and I discovered a better way to fulfill the same objective. The best method came to me one morning while I was looking at photos of my family on my laptop.
This method proved just as effective, and perhaps more consistent: 2) Once a day, or more if necessary, open their photo on your laptop screen. Have a small bottle of holy water handy near your computer, and wet your index finger tip with the water. Now, go to the photo of your loved one and perform the sign of the cross on their face. Nothing will happen to the screen, so don't worry, and everything good to the person getting the blessing. To bless your friends is divine, so don't hesitate to include them also.
If you don't have a computer, take a photo of your loved one(s) preferably framed; or, the alternative is to take a photo print and cover it in plastic. Then you can bless them with holy water as many times as you wish. I recommend that you do it at least once a day.
The blessing is your gift to them. It is a kindness of immense value, and said blessing is just as effective as if they were present with you.
As you make the sign of the cross on their photo, or if digital on the screen, you may want to say something like this, "God, please: protect; guide; heal; take care of (name the person(s) on the photo) and I thank You very much for that." Use whatever words are appropriate for you. I just gave you an idea.
Remember, it is in the sincere and honest intention of your blessing, together with holy water, that the recipient will benefit the most. At the beginning, your belief in the ritual is what is going to work, not so much your faith. Your faith will grow in time, as you see results happening right in front of your eyes.

Holy Water - Recommended Ways to Apply It
You may have read by now a couple of my articles on the subject of prayer and holy water that I recommended. Now, I am going to show you how to apply holy water for you and your loved ones.
In my articles, I mentioned that whenever I needed to apply holy water to any of my 'biking- related-injuries,' I took holy water in my fingers and rubbed it right on the part of my body that was injured and painful. For example, if my shoulder ached, I put holy water right on it. Beforehand, I would say these words, "Thank you Lord for taking the pain away."
Today, if I get a bad headache, such as a migraine which I get on rare occasions, I touch the temples with my fingers wet with holy water, and I say the same words of thanks. I have noticed that in these cases, holy water works quite fast to relieve my pain in less than an hour. Most of my headaches are minor and stress-related. I just take a couple of ibuprofen to relieve the pain, and I find it is sufficient in these instances.
Holy water is not meant to be drunk. Perhaps if I have a serious stomach ache, or a bad internal problem, I will certainly take a sip from the bottle of holy water that I keep at home.
Should your bones be aching from arthritis, please use holy water to rub over the area. I will add, that I have never had any serious pain from injuries go away instantly just because I rubbed holy water, but in time it always has. How much time did it take to take effect? Most every time, it has taken one to two weeks—in my cases anyway. Hopefully you get speedier results, but results you will eventually get.
You have another method that I will recommend for you that worked on my sister who was bed-ridden and unable to speak comprehensively for almost two years. Today, she is 81-years-old and speaking quite well; thanks to holy water which was sprinkled on her head over a period of a few weeks.
If you should have a loved one that is seriously ill, sprinkle holy water over their heads, but first, please say a prayer of thanks. Do not expect a miracle to occur instantly, but in time you will see results. Believe for now, and faith will follow.
I must remind you that holy water should be used in addition to acquiring good medical help for all your serious needs and those of your loved ones. I am a firm believer that they go hand-in-hand.
You probably have questions about the use of holy water, and I have made myself available to respond. Please feel free to ask, and I will try to provide answers where I can. My email address is tonymcclr@gmail.com. Your email address is your property, and it will be kept in strict confidence.
God bless, and may you find holy water as miraculous for you as it has been for me.

Holy Water
If you read my article, "The Healing Power of Holy Water" on Ezinearticles.com, you will notice that my conclusion was that in spite of faith, holy water has the power to heal.
I had no faith in holy water before I started using it for my 'mountain-biking injuries', and yet, it still worked for me. It will also work for you! You just have to try it as detailed in my story.
I will make holy water available to anyone who makes a request. I will get it from the same church where I attend Mass, and has the holy water that I described in my article. You can also go to any catholic church in your part of the world, and pick up holy water in a small container and take it home with you.
If you have a loved one in a hospital, and you would like to pour the water on their head for blessings and healing, please do so. Say your own prayer before proceeding, and thank the Lord for his help. You may also say a prayer of blessing for the doctors and nurses taking care of your loved one.
Should you want me to get holy water from my church for you and send it to your home address, I will be happy to do so. I only ask for a small donation to take care of the shipping and handling of the small bottle container with the holy water.
If you would please read my article before making any requests, I will very much appreciate it. You are welcome to contact me on my email address at: tonymcclr@gmail.com. You may have to copy the address and paste it to your email server, which may be msn, google, yahoo or any other, if this link doesn't work for you.
God bless you , and may your life be filled with joy and happiness.

Prayer Stand
Prayer has been considered the one element in life with the strongest degree of communicating power to reach the divine. It is the intent of Prayer Stand to have a mature person to provide prayers on a daily basis for all those that would like someone to pray for them, or for the needs of their loved ones; regardless of their past and present beliefs, religion and faith.
All requests will be considered in a morning prayer session composed of ten "Our Father" and ten "Hail Mary." There will be an introductory prayer to cover all petitions for the day, and then I will proceed to pray to God.
Should there be a special appeal, or perhaps an urgency for any particular case, and you wish for me to pray for you personally or your loved one, I will do so.
On Thursday mornings, I am responsible for opening the church where I attend Mass. My job is to prepare the Chapel. I also serve the priest as sacristan. All requests submitted for any special needs and received through Wednesday night, will be submitted to the Virgin Mary for her intercession at exactly 6 am and before any parishioners come in for the 7 am Mass.
My prayers are my thanks to God for all that He has done for me throughout the years. I am grateful for my health and my family. That is my reward, and I want to share my blessings by praying for you and your loved ones. Please allow me to do that, for it will be a privilige and an honor.
Please read my articles which I have published in Ezinearticles.com regarding "The Incredible Power of Prayer..." and "The Healing Power of Holy Water" which are available for your perusal on this page (see upper right under the title Ezine Articles and click on the article). The articles will be of great help for you to become familiar with the author who will be praying for you.
May God bless you with love, health and a life filled with happiness and joy. You are more than welcome to send via email my blog site address noted below my name to all your friends and family who may be in need of a strong prayer.
