Praying, I have found from experience, is a desire that comes from the heart. I have explained in other posts on this blog, that having a grateful attitude is of tremendous help in delivering your petitions to God.
In other words, you are asking the highest authority in the universe to help you with something very special, or it could be a simple request. I have also noticed that the more regularly I pray, the easier it is for me to connect with God. I don't feel that this avenue is made only for 'special authorities' on earth with any particular training. We are all considered children of God, and for that very reason, we have the right to go straight to Him with our requests.
The same as a son or a daughter feels when going to their parents for help or advice, we should also exercise the same liberty when going to God. Sometimes it is to speak to Him over something that you have in mind. Other times, you may just want to say, "Thanks dear God for today."
When a situation is serious in your life, such as a terminal illness without recourse for you or a member of your family, where does prayer come in? For God nothing is impossible. He said it, and we should listen. The question is, does He save everyone that asks Him to save their lives, or that of a loved one from a deadly illness? Unfortunately, the answer is No!
A young brother of mine died in an accident at the age of 14, and an older brother of cancer at the age of 61. I will be 65 years old soon, and my life has been spared enough times to write a book. Why was I given a longer life? I just don't know, but I am sincerely grateful for that. Do I pray for others daily, yes of course, including my own family and friends.
What should be our objective in praying directly to God, or to Jesus or his mother the Virgin Mary, or other saints? We are human, we are vulnerable to the elements, and we need to; therefore, our objective should be to reach them for divine intervention, help and assistance. A prayer of gratitude, a prayer for protection, a life or death situation, all and any of these examples require that you and I reach the almighty for help.
It will be His will not ours that will determine the outcome. Just don't hesitate to go to God for help anytime of the day.
If you should need someone to pray for you, I am Catholic and on Thursday mornings I take my petitions to the Virgin Mary at my church in Coral Springs, Florida. If you know of someone who is very ill and they need a grateful and retired executive to pray for them, please give me their first name only and the nature of their illness. You have access to my email. Please feel free to send your request. I want nothing from you but the opportunity to pray for you or your loved one. I do pray for anyone that comes to me, regardless of their religion or beliefs.
You may want to read the articles which I have published in Ezine Articles on this blog, regarding prayer and holy water. Please share my email and blog with whomever you feel needs an assist.

Love, Blessing, Protection and Holy Water for your Pets
Just recently, the test of divine power was present in the lives of two animals. One happens to be a calico cat named Isabel and the other is a muscovy duck named Beatrice. Both animals came to be 'adopted' by my daughter and me. The cat was abandoned a few years ago by a previous owner, and she just wondered around the apartment complex.
Eventually, people came to liking her and began to feed her. She is now under the care of my daughter, and gets fed right outside our door every day. I, on the other hand, adopted a muscovy duck almost 7 years ago. These ducks are common in Florida, and she has come to my back patio almost every day, except when she used to go away for a month or so. For a few years, she bred her own brood, but now she is getting on in years and probably unable to do so.
Both of these animals came close to getting decimated the other day by two large dogs that were running lose in the complex. Beatrice the duck was absent the day that the dog killed a young female duck. I heard a commotion outside my apartment, only to see one of the dogs with a large duck in his mouth being mauled. I scared the dogs away, and went looking for Beatrice. She was nowhere to be found. A day later she reappeared in my back yard.
When I went chasing the two dogs, I found them in the parking lot with their owner. I advised him to leach the dogs in the complex, and he agreed. Then one of his dogs ran after Isabel the cat, who happened to be sitting by the bushes. When I saw the dog that killed the duck go after Isabel the cat, I jumped in front of the dog, and yelled at him to stop.
The dog must have gotten scared, and stopped right on his tracks. That saved that cat!
I call it good timing that Beatrice the duck was absent from the melee, otherwise she couldn't have taken flight so fast. And Isabel was one lucky cat that I was there to watch-out for her.
Here's my point: both animals are not owned by anyone, and each lives on their own, except for the food and the sweet words that they receive from my daughter and me. And yet, both animals are included in our prayers, and they have both received blessings with holy water.
Does God afford protection for the animals that are helpless and abandoned? I believe that He does, and that is why we pray for the people that we love, and those animals that have been friends and faithful to us. Placing holy water on our two 'adopted' pets was as natural as doing it for my family. You are giving them protection for the times that you cannot be there to help them.
Leave it to God to do that for you!

An Accident on Highway I95—Application of Prayer and Holy Water
I was called one evening last July by my son who is 20 years old. He said that his Jeep Cherokee had just had a tire blow-out, and the vehicle had careened across highway I95 while he was going South from Glades Blvd. in Boca Raton, Florida. I asked him if he was alright, and he said yes!
I told him that I would go and pick him up. I recall the time was 11 pm, and he had just gotten off from work. When I arrived at the scene of the accident, I saw his Jeep facing in the opposite direction (North) by the low concrete wall that separates the highway.
Near his Jeep was a Mustang parked that had collided with my son's vehicle. A few minutes later, I asked why was there a car upside down across the highway on the grassy bank. The owner of the Mustang said that the other driver had dodged hitting my son's Jeep, and he lost total control of his car. It was a rainy night, and the driver swerved and skated across the highway; eventually sliding downward on the wet and grassy side, causing the car to roll over on to its top.
This was a three-car accident, and only one person got seriously hurt. An ambulance had to take the driver from the car that sat upside down to the hospital. My son was shaken-up, but with no injuries at all. The lady in the Mustang told me the same for her. All three vehicles had to be towed away.
Where does prayer and holy water come in on this story? The Jeep Cherokee was blessed with holy water years back. My son is blessed every day with holy water when I see his picture on my laptop. I do the same for my other two kids. I say prayers for my children, and other family members every day without fail.
Anything could have happened that evening. The car that avoided him completely might have crashed right onto his Jeep, and very likely causing major fatalities. The lady in the Mustang saw what had happened, and she was able to slow down her car. She still hit my son's Jeep, but with less force. When my son remained in his Jeep in the middle of the highway facing the wrong direction, other vehicles speeding at 70-plus miles an hour could have crashed onto him, but nothing else occurred. The fire rescue people arrived on time, and they moved the damaged cars to the side of the highway.
We need to pray for our family members every day. We can't depend on others to do it for us, unless we are not capable of praying ourselves. There are many situations, conditions, and elements in our daily lives that we all need to avoid for our safety, and our lives if need be. For that protection, we have to ask for divine intervention. That can only come from praying and asking God.
How should holy water be applied? I mentioned in my previous posts to place the holy water on your laptop photos, or on hard photo prints with plastic on them. All that you need to say as you make the sign of the cross on the photo with your finger wet with the water is: "Dear Lord, please protect and keep safe (name person here), and I thank You very much." Just follow this procedure once a day. That will take you no more than a minute of your time. I suggest that you do it for your loved ones that commute to school or work, or both, or that might be living in other locations.
This simple ritual of prayer combined with holy water contains an enormous amount of power behind it. You are asking, not begging, the highest authority in the Universe to protect you and your loved ones. You have everything to gain by praying to God, so that you and your family members may live safely and peacefully.
If you would like to read more on prayer and holy water, please go to Ezine Articles on this page and browse through it. You will find three articles titled: "The Incredible Power of Prayer..."/ "The Healing Power of Holy Water"/ "The Healing Power of Holy Water Part II." Please click on any of them. I believe that you will find them quite interesting, and enlightening, I hope.
Be so kind to share this blog with family and friends. You don't know who needs to take a "new avenue" in their lives to find a solution to a personal situation, an illness, or a very important decision to make.

Holy Water— A Healing, A Miracle, A Blessing
If you would go to Ezine Articles on this page and click the article "The Healing Power of Holy Water Part II." you will find the latest on the amazing power of holy water. In the article are three different events totally unrelated, and yet the common factor is holy water.
I have shown the viewers of this blog, that holy water has the power to heal. In Part II, I discuss the details of three events. One is a healing, the second is an event of incredible dimensions, and the third is a blessing of a ship. Nothing unusual about the ship, but if you can imagine that the two owners are avowed atheists, and the only way to convince them is with scientific proof, then holy water is not for them.
Nevertheless, one of the owners asked me to bless his very large cargo ship, and I did. Read "The Healing Power... Part II" to see the results for yourself.
As you get more familiar with the uses of holy water for you and your family and friends, give holy water a chance to do its thing. Should you have someone ailing in your family, and you have tried everything, including taking all medical avenues, please resort to holy water for a test of faith. Should you lack faith, like I did at one time, then go on belief, and faith will follow! That I know, for I am the author of the articles and the beneficiary of the healing power of holy water. I had no faith in its power at the beginning of my trials with it, but in time I gained total belief, and faith became my strength.
Get a small container of holy water from your local church, and begin the process of helping yourself, your loved ones and friends that need healing and blessings to receive the amazing power of this water as soon as possible. Don't hesitate to believe in it, anymore than to feel embarrassed by the ritual of sprinkling the water over someone else, including yourself.
If you would be so kind to keep me posted on all progress regarding the use of holy water, please reach me on my email address with your information. It will be highly appreciated.

Prayer Stand—Suggested words of introduction for your daily prayers
The most important thing to remember before you present your petitions to God, is to be clear in the 'direction' that you wish for your prayers to take. In other words, you are asking God to listen to your request for a good reason. I will suggest some ways of making your introductions that have helped me for many years. Afterwards, you may say your prayers in accordance with your religion.
Other times, you simply want to thank God and nothing else is required. I have made some suggestions on words of gratitude that you can certainly use.
We all go through moments of anxiety; distress; dangerous conditions; loneliness; sickness; and, many other very delicate situations. God is not far away to listen to you and me; and by allowing us to ask Him to help us, that avenue became one of His greatest gifts. Jesus Christ reminded us of that gift while he lived on Earth. All you have to do is to ask God with a sincere and humble heart to help you at your moment of need. He can't refuse you! Just a word of advise though, selfish, frivolous and silly requests will probably go unanswered. For your benefit, please LET YOUR PRAYERS BE STRONG!
Suggested ways to ask for help and other requests
"I need your help with my health dear Lord, please listen to me."
"Dear God, I am desperate and need financial help to pay my bills, please listen to my prayers."
"Dear God, I need help in my marriage to make it better, please help us."
"Dear Lord, (my son, my daughter) are in trouble and they need your help."
"Dear God, I am totally lost, and I just don't know what to do anymore, or where to go. I need your help!"
"Dear Lord, I am in deep trouble (state your situation here by clarifying), and I need your urgent help."
"Forgive me Lord if I don't believe in you, and I haven't for most of my life, but I need you right now to come to my rescue. Help me to believe in you."
"My (son, daughter, dad, mom, aunt, uncle, friend) is very ill dear Lord, and I am asking for your help. You can do it! Please listen to my request to heal them."
"Give me strength dear Lord so that I don't stray away from you, and let me receive your protection against all evil."
Suggested words of gratitude
"Dear God, thank you so much for this day and for my family."
"Thank you dear Lord for answering my prayers."
"Thank you dear God for my health, and that of my loved ones."
"Dear God, I am grateful for all that you do for me, and please forgive me if I don't thank you enough."
"Dear Lord, I have made my request to you from my heart, and it is your will not mine that will determine the outcome of my petition. I just want to thank you in advance."
"I am grateful dear Lord for my life, my loved ones, my friends, my colleagues at work, and for my job."
"Dear God, if you should help me to get the job that I want, I will be forever grateful."
"I thank you in advance dear God for protecting my loved ones every single day."
"Dear Lord, (name your loved one or a friend) is going on a trip. I am asking you to please give them a safe trip, and protect them while they are away ."
I will be more than honored if you allow me to pray for you and family members. Holy Water—To Bless Someone Far Away
Awhile back I wanted to find a way to bless my family members and friends with holy water, especially if they lived far away.
There were several ways to accomplish this: 1) send them a small bottle of holy water, and have them apply it by wetting their fingers with it and perform the sign of the cross on their face and shoulders. I figured that they would follow this simple ritual of blessing at least once a day. However, I found out that people forget to follow-up on it on a regular basis.
I thought about it, and I discovered a better way to fulfill the same objective. The best method came to me one morning while I was looking at photos of my family on my laptop.
This method proved just as effective, and perhaps more consistent: 2) Once a day, or more if necessary, open their photo on your laptop screen. Have a small bottle of holy water handy near your computer, and wet your index finger tip with the water. Now, go to the photo of your loved one and perform the sign of the cross on their face. Nothing will happen to the screen, so don't worry, and everything good to the person getting the blessing. To bless your friends is divine, so don't hesitate to include them also.
If you don't have a computer, take a photo of your loved one(s) preferably framed; or, the alternative is to take a photo print and cover it in plastic. Then you can bless them with holy water as many times as you wish. I recommend that you do it at least once a day.
The blessing is your gift to them. It is a kindness of immense value, and said blessing is just as effective as if they were present with you.
As you make the sign of the cross on their photo, or if digital on the screen, you may want to say something like this, "God, please: protect; guide; heal; take care of (name the person(s) on the photo) and I thank You very much for that." Use whatever words are appropriate for you. I just gave you an idea.
Remember, it is in the sincere and honest intention of your blessing, together with holy water, that the recipient will benefit the most. At the beginning, your belief in the ritual is what is going to work, not so much your faith. Your faith will grow in time, as you see results happening right in front of your eyes.

Holy Water - Recommended Ways to Apply It
You may have read by now a couple of my articles on the subject of prayer and holy water that I recommended. Now, I am going to show you how to apply holy water for you and your loved ones.
In my articles, I mentioned that whenever I needed to apply holy water to any of my 'biking- related-injuries,' I took holy water in my fingers and rubbed it right on the part of my body that was injured and painful. For example, if my shoulder ached, I put holy water right on it. Beforehand, I would say these words, "Thank you Lord for taking the pain away."
Today, if I get a bad headache, such as a migraine which I get on rare occasions, I touch the temples with my fingers wet with holy water, and I say the same words of thanks. I have noticed that in these cases, holy water works quite fast to relieve my pain in less than an hour. Most of my headaches are minor and stress-related. I just take a couple of ibuprofen to relieve the pain, and I find it is sufficient in these instances.
Holy water is not meant to be drunk. Perhaps if I have a serious stomach ache, or a bad internal problem, I will certainly take a sip from the bottle of holy water that I keep at home.
Should your bones be aching from arthritis, please use holy water to rub over the area. I will add, that I have never had any serious pain from injuries go away instantly just because I rubbed holy water, but in time it always has. How much time did it take to take effect? Most every time, it has taken one to two weeks—in my cases anyway. Hopefully you get speedier results, but results you will eventually get.
You have another method that I will recommend for you that worked on my sister who was bed-ridden and unable to speak comprehensively for almost two years. Today, she is 81-years-old and speaking quite well; thanks to holy water which was sprinkled on her head over a period of a few weeks.
If you should have a loved one that is seriously ill, sprinkle holy water over their heads, but first, please say a prayer of thanks. Do not expect a miracle to occur instantly, but in time you will see results. Believe for now, and faith will follow.
I must remind you that holy water should be used in addition to acquiring good medical help for all your serious needs and those of your loved ones. I am a firm believer that they go hand-in-hand.
You probably have questions about the use of holy water, and I have made myself available to respond. Please feel free to ask, and I will try to provide answers where I can. My email address is tonymcclr@gmail.com. Your email address is your property, and it will be kept in strict confidence.
God bless, and may you find holy water as miraculous for you as it has been for me.
